Word lists, glossaries, and similar tools can be helpful for identifying unfamiliar words in a document. These pages contain lists of words that you are likely to encounter in your research. You can use these pages to prepare and familiarize yourself with common vocabulary before you begin your research, or you can dive into your research and return to these pages for help if you come across a word that is difficult to decipher. Using the keyboard commands Ctrl+F (Windows) or Command+F (Mac) can be helpful when searching through word lists. Simply type the first few letters or a part of the word you know, and the search function will highlight any words in the list that contain that sequence of letters.
