Dowry - Vic, Spain 1691

Below is an example of a Notarial document that outlines a dowry agreement from Vic in Catalonia, Spain. This document is unique as it was created by two separate Notaries, first by Josep Bosch, who made the original document in 1691, and then by Feliu Sayol added an addendum in 1743.

This 1743 addendum was done to revalidate the dowry agreement since it was created before the enactment of the Nueva Planta decrees (1707-1716), issued by the new Bourbon Dynasty, which reformed the Spanish government, including the abolishment of the original Catalan political institutions
