On the twenty-first of December of one thousand and six hundred and two years I
Pedro Lopez priest in the parish church of the town of Canta-
lapiedra having performed the three canonical banns that the
sacred Council of Trent demands between Franco Carretero and Catalina
Mansilla, and there being no impediment, having been dissolved the
agreement between the mentioned Franco Carretero and Maria Gonzalez
which was made and with license to marry each other whose tenor
is as follows.
The deputies of the bishopric of Salamanca vacant see eclesa [un-inteligible]
hereby give license to Franco Carretero resident of
the town of Cantalapiedra so he can marry
how and with whom he wishes, nevertheless the agreement of marriage
that was asked by Maria Gonzalez widow of bar[tolo]me Alvarez resident of
the mentioned town aware that she has withdrawn and waved it
and he is thus free from her and aware that Franco Carretero and Ca-
talina Mansilla resident of this town are contracted to enter into
marriage one with another we give license to the benefice or priest
of that town of Cantalapiedra where the above-mentioned are residents
and parishioners so that, the date recorded, are performed among them the
three banns demanded by the Holy Tridentine council and
stating to be free and without impediment except for that which was expressed
by said Maria Gonzales to said Franco Carretero that made
